John J. Bowman Single Barrel

Virginia Straight Bourbon Whiskey

100 Proof

Nose: Banana and crème brulee dominate the nose. After about 10 minutes hints of caramel round out the experience. This nose really doesn’t evolve with oxidation but it is very enjoyable nonetheless.

Taste: Slight grassy notes which let you know this bourbon was distilled at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Vanilla, warm spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. This is very well balanced with a sweetness in the mid palate balanced by hints of new leather.

Finish: Moderate finish which becomes dry. Nice integration between sweetness on the mid-palate to a dry finish with hints of macadamia nuts.

Overall: This bourbon is distilled at Buffalo Trace Distillery and then sent to Bowman Distillery in VA for a 3rddistillation and warehousing. The flavors our well integrated with a finish that could be longer. It’s a very enjoyable pour however.
